Thanks for the message - I am glad that you enjoyed the postcard. I am never quite sure what people make of them so it is good to get feedback.

Well, ... it's a small world!, isn't it?

Actually, I think they have had some tough games ... Argentina are never easy and Gerorgia tend to be physical ... England started with a flourish because they started to run everything - even in their own 22, from their goal line, when the normal "philosophy" would be to kick for touch in order to gain ground. one Brit, at the bar, was very indignant about the refereeing ... and I wanted to remind him that "it's only a game," but I didn't think he would agree with me. As it happens, I think that if they had kicked those penalties, Georgia could have achieved an upset!

The name does indeed ring a bell - Both the other names ring a bell, but yours is the stronger recollection. However, to be honest I can't place him and I don't think it's that uncommon a surname in that particular part of the world.

As welI as playing seventeenth man. I ought to point out that I played for the fourths at a time when they only ran three teams ...

I enjoyed your note below. I don’t think England look like they’re up to much this year.

But I was most interested to note that you played for Malvern. I’m from Worcester. Dad is from Malvern. Do you know him? He played a bit for Malvern. We used to go and watch them play as kids.

There would be no point in making a movie out of any of these sotries, no one would believe them.

Personally, I could not live without going to the cinema. one of my best jobs, if not my best, was when i worked at my local cinema for a year while I was at Uni 2000-2001. The pay was not a lot but the perk was going to the movies for free. In fact you were encouraged to go to the movies so that you could inform the patrons. Virtually my dream job.
