Thanks for the reply ... I'm not surprised that the RWC has taken over ... Rugby has always been a major element in Kiwi life and, then again, what can you expect with a stadium of four million!

To be honest, although 41-10 was a creditable score, I expected New Zealand to do even better. That weren't that many people watching the opening match but there aren't that many Tongans here, yet alone New Zealanders. I expect it will be packed out for the England games. I am not sure how many Americans will go along, but if they do well, who knows. I want to go and and watch one of the Russian games to see if any locals take an interest and I might drag some Georgian friends along to watch one of their matches - against England?

I hope you get a chance to see some of the games ... both the Italians and the Russians can provide some fine rugby - but different styles.

Nice to hear that Rugby is not entirely unknown in Bishkek. The RWC
is a very big deal for NZ, with virtual 24 hr coverage onf TV and
radio, and the newspapers don't cover much else either!

Quite a few of the games are happening around the regions. Nelson is
to host both Italians (quite of few Italian-kiwis) here and the
Russians! Both those teams will be very popular, more because of
their lifestyle than the quality of their play!
