Thank you again for keeping us informed of the Kyrgyz news. It is
certainly not in the French dispatches that we would find the mine of
informations your mails provide us with. As I already wrote you, they
make a world of difference to us. We all hope the positive signs you
noted will soon solidify into a real improvement of the situation.

Many thanks for the latest update. Very reassuring... Bakiev I think has lost his marbles, hasn't he? I mean, complaining that he was tricked! I don't think anyone made a public commitment on behalf of the interim government that the whole of Bakiev's family would be given immunity... And as for the disappearance of this brother (is it Janybek?)... I thought this was very possibly engineered by the Bakievs themselves. No proof as yet that it weren't...
Glad that Roza said something about transparency... but... well, there must be some way or other of tackling corruption, surely? More power to those that at least have a crack at it... because I have the feeling that until someone does something serious about corruption, the government will always be rotten.
Anyway, it doesn't seem too bad at all. Long may it last...
Thanks and best wishes
